Welcome to the travel blog of the Spivey Hall Tour Choir. We're so glad you're joining us on our adventures. So that we can get to know each other, here's a little bit about us.
The Spivey Hall Tour Choir
This 50 member select ensemble is a part of the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir. Auditioning for this group requires spending at least one year in the Children’s Choir and having a higher level of mastery in the areas of sight reading, music theory, and vocal technique. Tour Choir demands an increased time and financial commitment due to a more extensive rehearsal and performance schedule that includes an annual summer tour. This ensemble performs six concerts in Spivey Hall with the Children’s Choir as well as locally and regionally. The schedule varies annually. As cultural ambassadors of the state of Georgia, Clayton State University and Spivey Hall the Tour Choir has performed to acclaim throughout the United States on tour and at national and regional music conferences. They have traveled internationally to Canada, Sweden, Norway, England, Austria, the Czech Republic, China, Scotland, Spain, and Italy
We are thrilled to be headed to Italy to perform a concert series for the next 12 days. We hope you follow us along right here on our journey.
